Fiery Pumpkin
Fiery Pumpkin Halloween Range

When we choose our Halloween ranges there’s always an unexpected hit, and this year it’s Fiery Pumpkin.

Although we don’t recommend setting fire to your own pumpkin, it’s well worthwhile buying a pumpkin (even if you’re not having a party). Apart from the fun of making a scary face, you can make masses of pumpkin soup which is dead easy, you get loads, so you can freeze it for months. And it’s delicious.

We recommend you stir in a teaspoon of curry powder and a tablespoon of sunflower oil, and serve with a crusty roll.

Jousting KnightToday we are celebrating William the Conqueror who on September 28 1066 landed at Pevensy, famously tripped over and got a face-full of sand. So infuriated was he that he conquered the whole of England which is a lesson to anyone working in a service industry. We think he would have liked our Jousting Knight range, and (being Norman) feel sure he and his lovely wife Matilda of Flanders would have cooked a mean pumpkin soup.

Last Minute News: We’ve also got a limited supply of some excellent new Puppet Kits (see below) which we think are one of the best craft toys we’ve sold.

Pirate Parties & The Roman God of War

Fairytale Princess Party Range

March is, of course, named after Mars, the Roman god of war and chocolate, which makes it the perfect month to hold a Pirate Party. Our prosaic friends the Anglo-Saxons (moving on from February’s ‘cabbage month’) called March hyldmonath which means ‘loud month‘. Perhaps they had noisy children too.

All of which allows us to mention that we have a new Pirate Party theme – the swashbuckling Buried Treasure. If you’re stuck for inspiration, a Pirate Party is an excellent place to start.

Monsters and Pirates Party CupMarch is also the start of spring, our favourite time of year. And we’re doubly pleased because we’ve secured more of our old-favourite, the Fireman Party range.

This month we’re offering Free Postage on orders over £50, which is a saving of nearly £5. But we can’t extend this offer to our costumes because they are sent separately. As usual you have to click on one of the links on this email to get it to work!

Our best wishes for a lovely springtime.

Halloween Party Sticker Sheet

School’s only just started we know, but it’s already time to start thinking about Halloween. Why? Because Halloween is also the birthday of Vanilla Ice, so it’s like two celebrations in one.

(If you fancy having a Halloween Party it’s best to plan early otherwise all the best stuff might be gone.)

Ballet Dancing BookMeanwhile, should your little princess (or prince) has a fondness for ballet, we’ve recently added to our lovely Angelina Ballerina partyware. We’re particularly fond of Angelina Mouseling, she’s a sort of rodent ambassador for dance. Did you know that male mice have no nipples? We’re curious if this makes them more evolved than the human male.

We’re going to keep our 15% discount again on your purchases from Party Ark – but you need to make sure you click on one of the links in this email to qualify! (Offer not on costumes, sorry.)

Gregorian Calendar Curiosities + Jousting Knights Party

Children's Party Supplies from Party Ark

Barnyard Bash Party
Jousting Knight Party

September is here, which of course means going back to school. We’re quite delighted that children still seem to have little plastic set squares in their pencil cases, a tool we always found was useful for surreptitiously poking whoever was sitting next to you.

Of course if you were around 257 years ago, today didn’t happen at all, because (as every student of 1752 knows) September 2nd was followed by September 14th as we adopted the Gregorian Calendar. Pity the children whose birthdays fell on the missing days – we hope they had their parties anyway.

Star Wars Clone WarsLuckily for everyone this month has its full complement of thirty days (and by the end of which you may wish to think about about getting any Halloween partyware ordered) – ample time to organise an impromptu Star Wars Clone Wars Party – because life is not complete until you’ve had a light-sabre battle with a six year old.

We’re going to run our 15% discount again on your purchases from Party Ark – but you need to make sure you click on one of the links in this email to qualify! (Offer not on costumes, sorry.)

Eco-Friendly Partyware

Children's Party Supplies from Party Ark
Mostly Boys Mostly Girls 1st and Pre-School Milestone Parties

Space Adventure Party

A quick update this month while we all get ready for term to start – we’ve just launched a range of eco-friendly partyware which we think is both attractive and desirable.

It’s 100% biodegradable (made from sugarcane pulp, apparently) and comes attractively packaged in its own paper bag.

It’s something we’ve been wanting to offer for a long time.

We’re also committed to supporting fair trade wooden toys from Sri Lanka. There’s a range of items (skipping ropes, magnets, animal figures) each hand made from native rubberwood. We thought that would make them bouncy but no, rubberwood is not as exciting as it sounds.

Even the balloons and the balloon string is biodegradable and ethically sourced. And the candles are made from beeswax which helps support bees. Bees need your support!

So do please take a look if you think it’s something that would interest you.
