Roary the Racing Car Party

Easter is always exciting, if only because of the return of the hot cross bun. According to legend, if you bake and server buns on Good Friday they will never become moldy, ever. Sailors would take them on ships to avoid sinking, and if you hang one in your kitchen you’re house will never burn down and all your baking will be perfect. (We can’t guarantee any of these things, but they might be worth a try, especially if you own a boat.)

We now have an all-new Roary the Racing Car design of partyware. Roary, in case you don’t know, is from the same people who do Bob the Builder and Fifi and the Flowertots. Despite ourselves, we rather enjoy it, mainly because of Peter Kay. And the new design is very strong and very bold.

Grow Your Own We also have a new range of Grow my First Ever plants which are tremendous fun and just the thing for the Easter holidays. They’re made in the UK, and it received highly recommended in the UK’s Gift of the Year awards. But most importantly, there’s a real sense of achievement when the plant actually springs out of its little pouch. Choose from Carrots, Strawberries, Sunflowers, Peas or Cosmos.

Currently we’re offering Free Postage on orders over £50, but you have to click one of the links in this email to get it to work. (Sorry, not on costumes. They cost too much to send!) The magic of the internet will ensure the discount is applied. Any problems, give us a call – 01572 748 609.

Toy Story 3 + Last Minute Easter Bargains

Children's Party Supplies from Party Ark

Easter Party Toy Story Party

Today is the ides of March (the ides fall when we’re half-way through a month) – famously the day Julius Caesar got done in by Marcus Junius Brutus and his friends. There doesn’t seem an appropriate way to celebrate this (unless you have a toga party) , so you could ignore it altogether and celebrate Honen Matsuri instead, which is harvest festival in Japan, also today.

Easter BookIn the town of Komaki this apparently involves Shinto priests proudly parading a giant wooden 2½m ‘sculpture’ around the town representing fertility. It’s then spun wildly round and round until everyone is dizzy and prayers are said. We do admit is sounds more fun that the traditional English version.

Which brings us on to Easter – now’s the time to grab some last minute bargains! Our Make your own Fluffy Easter Chicks are excellent for keeping small hands busy over the Easter break, and if you still are stumped for ideas you can try our 50 Easter Things to Make & Do book. Bonnets, easter eggs and everything else are still available too but we’re getting quite short on stock on most lines now.

Fans of Toy Story will be pleased to know that there’s a new film on it’s way, apparently in 3-D. We’ve always enjoyed the Toy Story stories, and all your favourite characters will be returning. While you’re waiting, do take a look at our party range.

We’re now going to hide some Easter Eggs. Have a lovely week!

Must See Party Themes for March

Children's Party Supplies from Party Ark

Monster Mania Party Princess & Tghe Frog Party

March is definitely one of our favourite months – daffodils, snowdrops and the first signs of Spring after winter. The Saxons called it lent-monat or length month, because the days are getting longer, and that’s where we get the word Lent from. How long Lent lasts generally depends on what you’ve given up

We’ve got two super new themes this month. Monster Mania features three mildly-crazed looking monsters, all of who appear to be mightily keen on birthday cake. It’s got a whole host of accessories, with the table centrepiece a particularly strong decoration. Recommended for any child who has monstrous tendencies, i.e. all of them.

We also have new The Princess and the Frog tableware. It’s a lovely story, one of Disney’s finest for years, and you won’t regret a visit to the pictures to catch it. Of course if you have a Princess and Frog party you’ll have to nominate someone to be the frog, and it may very well end up being yourself.

If you haven’t already, you may want to start thinking about Easter partyware – we have some very reasonably priced Easter bonnets, plus a number of craft-activities to keep little hands busy during the holidays including Make Your Own Fluffy Easter Chicks, a Bonnet Decorating Kit and 50 Easter Things to Make and Do if you run out of inspiration. And of course there’s the usual selection of Fillable Easter Eggs, Felt Easter Bunny Baskets and (we trust) everything that we could tastefully imagine you might want!

Do have a safe and sunny March,

Emily
